The materials in your kit

Small wood log to paint and hang
Simply Gouache paint tubes in a variety of autumn colours
Simply Colour pencils in a variety of autumn colours
1 x Simply Graphite Pencil
1 Simply Eraser
2 x Simply Acrylic Brushes of different sizes
1 container with water
Paper towels
1 x Simply Palette

Your step by step guide

Step 1
The Pattern

Using a graphite pencil, draw the outlines of a sheet directly on a log of wood.

Leaf Colour

Using the ocher-coloured gouache, apply the paint over the entire surface of the leaf.

Spots of Colour
Use the colour 'burnt sienna' to create coloured spots and gradients on the sheet, giving the leaf a more natural look.
Using the fine point brush, soaked in brown paint, draw a few veins starting from the centre of the leaf.

Bright Shades
To add a little more light to the entire leaf, feel free to add a little orange and yellow to make spots and gradients brighter.

Now use the brown pencil to trace the outlines of the leaf.
