The materials in your kit

Simply A4 Watercolour Paper
Simply Watercolour Paint
2 x Simply Watercolour Brushes of different sizes
1 x Container of water
Paper towels
1 x Simply Palette

Your step by step guide

Step 1
Outline
To make a page full of appetizing cherries, mix in vermilion red diluted in a little water.
Using the fine-tipped brush, trace the fruit on the paper as in the demonstration.
When applying rouge, have fun creating a gradient from left to right to give the fruit more volume.
Leave it to dry.

Step 2
The twig
By using a brown mixed with ultramarine blue watercolour paint, you create a dark brown.
Outline the stem, remembering to create the knot at the end of the stem that holds the fruit to the twig.
On the already painted fruit, refine the details to add more red colour while leaving the upper part of the fruit a bright spot.
Tip: Wash your brush to change colour.

Step 3
The leaves
On top of the cherry, add a leaf to give more depth to the creation. Mix green with dark blue to soften the green and make it look more natural.
And there you have it, you've made the first cherry. All that's left to do is make the rest of the cherries!
You can now repeat the technique by painting different cherries all over the sheet of paper. See the example opposite.

Step 4
