'Moxie' VIN + OMI's 20th Anniversary Fashion Show

VIN + OMI x Daler-Rowney

Moxie, the 20th anniversary show, of fashion and multimedia designer duo VIN + OMI aired on Friday at the Kensington Building in London, featuring models such as Jo Wood, actress Josie Stevens, London’s entrepreneur Naomi Heaton, the modest superstar Eve Ferret and of course Dame Prue Leith as you have never seen her before.

Moxie, a slang word for courageous spirit and determination, presented past and new garments made from nettles, chestnuts, butterbur, cow parsley, mushrooms, recycled waste plastic into micro bonded textile, metal fabric from collected cans, recycled milk carton fabric. Each garment has its own eco story.

For the backdrop, Daler-Rowney provided 700 used boxes from their recycling centre for the backdrop creation done with System3 Acrylic in cooperation with the students of the Art and Design Foundation of Oxford Brookes University to set the scene for the longest VIN + OMI catwalk.

For the garments, Daler-Rowney provided a palette full of waste plastic to be turned into rPet for the garments, some of which were hand-painted with System3 Acrylic as well as all the shoes were upcycled with System3 Acrylic.

Moxie marks over 10 years of cooperation with VIN + OMI, the Foundation Arts & Design course of Oxford Brookes University and Daler-Rowney on the garments, shoes, backdrop and accessories of the show created with Daler-Rowney art supplies and waste such as plastic tubes and cardboard.

We are honoured to work with VIN + OMI for over a decade, seeing their outstanding creativity and unmatched fashion innovation recognised by fantastic people over the last 20 years such as NASA, the UN, Debbie Harry, King Charles III and Michelle Obama.
