KAOS

VIN + OMI x Daler-Rowney

In true tradition, the British design duo VIN + OMI launched their latest couture collection, KAOS, with a big bang, blending contemporary pop culture and zeitgeist.

Their creativity knows no bounds, and they push the limits of processes and innovation on the catwalk. This season, garments were made from plant waste, including nettles, butterbur, and woodchip. They also used r-PET derived from Daler-Rowney plastic waste and recycled neoprene fabric from discarded Team GB wetsuits. The highlight of this season was the fabric created out of milk cartons from the Sandringham Estate, part of their ongoing collaboration with King Charles III.

Guest models, including Bake Off’s Prue Leith, I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!'s Jane Moore, and rock & roll legend Jo Wood, took to the catwalk at The Other House in South Kensington. The backdrop and handmade decorations, crafted by the Art and Design Foundation at Oxford Brookes University, reflected a fusion of fashion, film, fun, and science. These striking visuals were created on Daler-Rowney mountboard, with geometric lines painted in shades of Cadmium, Magenta, and Fluorescent Pink using System3 Acrylic Ink.

Daler-Rowney has been collaborating with VIN + OMI for years to push the boundaries of fine art materials, exploring innovative processes and applications. Their ever-evolving approach and organised chaos - both on and off the catwalk - continue to inspire whilst transforming our waste, repurposing our products, and showcasing fine art materials in ways we never imagined.
