Tibetan Children’s Village x Daler-Rowney
During a recent visit to the Tibetan Children’s Village (TCV) in Dharamshala, India, our founders, Nadine and Haye Tjarks, had the honour of bringing the joy of art to local children, thanks to the generous donations of art supplies from our valued client, Daler-Rowney.
TVC was originally founded by His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s older sister, it has a long-standing tradition of nurturing and educating Tibetan refugee children. Its rich history and deep cultural roots make it a truly special place.
Upon arriving at TCV, Nadine and Haye were warmly greeted by Nawang Lhamo, TCV’s Education Director, and Migmar Tsering. Together, they explored how the donated art supplies—ranging from colouring pencils to crayons, paper, and other items—would play a transformative role in the children’s lives. They discussed how art could serve as both a creative outlet and a therapeutic tool, helping the children on their journey of self-discovery and emotional growth.
This visit was a heartwarming and inspiring experience, demonstrating the mission T&T share with Daler-Rowney: to support creativity in all its forms and give children access to tools that foster their imagination.
The impact of these donations reaches far beyond the classroom, empowering these children to embrace their artistic potential. We look forward to continuing this collaboration and supporting charitable initiatives like TCV in the future.
