Sarah still finds time to illustrate and she loves nothing more than sharing her creativity with her children.

When did your love of art start? Did you always want to be an artist?

At the age of 8, watching the Disney artists sketching and creating film was the moment I decided I wanted to be an artist. I grew up being the only creative in my family, but I was encouraged to follow my passions every step of the way.

What would be your advice for new artists just starting up?

Throw yourself in and just start creating. Don't worry about the end result but really enjoy the process. Practice, practice, practice.

What is the best tip you were told early in your career?

If something doesn't quite go to plan use it to your advantage, it's a chance to change, develop and grow. Sometimes the best creations come from the unexpected. I had some amazing art teachers at school and they were a huge inspiration.

How has YouTube helped your career?

YouTube is a platform that has really helped me grow what I really love, and the following that I have are so supportive and appreciative, as the channel has grown new opportunities have come my way and more exciting projects are on the horizon, I am so grateful.

Where do you get your inspiration from?

All around me, I have a sketchpad (several) that I note down ideas as they come to me. My list of projects is endless.

What is a technique that you haven't tried yet that you would love to try & why?

I'm always experimenting and trying new things, especially with DAS air dry clay, but gel printing is something I have my eye on.

What motivates you to create?

Being creative makes me feel alive, it really makes my heart sing. If I haven't created something for a few days I can really feel it, so I pick up some clay or my dip pen and I'm back to being me, no motivation needed!

Do you find art therapeutic?

100% Art in any form is so good for the soul. Art and creativity have helped me through some difficult times, being able to escape from the current world or expressing feelings. I know my YouTube channel has helped so many people reconnect with creativity and I have received many messages from people to thank me for shining the light, people are just so kind.
