Hanne Linnes

Hanne Linnes (b. 1970, Norway) primarily works with acrylic on canvas. My paintings are abstract and colourful, created through many layers of textures and shades. "You should be able to discover new elements in my paintings every day." I have a deep passion for colours, shadows, and contrasts. I can spend days refining the perfect combinations to create a harmonious and intriguing composition. Each painting is a journey, where layers build upon one another, revealing depth and complexity over time. My background is in art and graphic design, followed by a bachelor's degree in graphic production and marketing. With over 30 years of experience in various creative industries, I now balance my professional work with spending significant time in my studio. Painting is not just an artistic expression for me - it is my meditation, escape, and passion. I find inspiration in nature, emotions, and the unpredictable interplay between colours. Every brushstroke is intentional, yet spontaneous, allowing the artwork to evolve naturally. My goal is to create pieces that evoke curiosity and emotion, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the details and discover something new each time they look. Through my work, I hope to share the joy of colours and the serenity of creative expression. My art is a reflection of my inner world - a vibrant, textured, and ever-evolving space where imagination has no limits.
