Alexander Lumsden
Alexander Lumsden is a Scandinavian sculptor, painter and creative facilitator based in the UK. Lumsden is the Head of Education at Bronze Age Sculpture Casting Foundry Ltd, where he creates and delivers seminars and workshops for King’s College London, Christie’s Education, Harvard Museums, and others. A life long painter and sculptor, Lumsden has exhibited nationally and internationally in a number of commercial, public and artist-led spaces. Lumsden has run a range of colour seminars around the world and has guest lectured at several reputable institutions including Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts Singapore. Material- and process knowhow lies at the core of Lumsden’s practice. During 2008-2011 he specialised in bronze casting at Fundición Artística Bianchi (Argentina) and Altos de Chavon School of Design (Dominican Republic). In 2014 he completed a 3 year R&D residency at Daler-Rowney fine art materials (UK). He subsequently joined the Bronze Age Sculpture Casting Foundry in 2015.
