Negro Leagues Hall of Fame drawing by Mike Theuer

This poster-sized drawing was commissioned by  the Negro League Hall of Fame.  It is of Oscar Carleston for whom there are few photos . . . and no card!  Instead, this fake card was my idea and pieced together from a photo of Oscar here, a ball-field background there and an old card.  The handwriting was based on a sample from my 92-year-old neighbor.  It was drawn on Canson bright white paper with a 4B pencil.
