Draught and Dray

Original painting of the Harveys brewery dray. It's been over 100 years since the brewery have used a dray but this splendid sight can be seen once again on the streets of Lewes in Sussex. The Shire horses , Monty and Winston , are magnificent and Barney the dog guards the beer barrels on his own cushion. I love the mix of nostalgia with the modern day and this subject was a delight to paint. Acrylic on box canvas, painted on all sides.

Medium used in painting:

System 3 Acrylics
