When we wake up in the morning from a deep sleep and perhaps an interesting dream, it takes a few moments to migrate from the dreamscape back to reality. This image is my interpretation of that moment between sleep and awareness.

Technique - I used everything but a paint brush. I like to paint using unusual things so that the pigment arrives at the support in an unexpected fashion. When the weather cooperates I use the weather to help me too, but not in a blizzard. The hair for instance was done with my fingers.

Using a paint brush is predictable and can often isolate you from the creation of the work. Using your fingers gets you involved. Using other implements and strange materials makes you think creatively. Ever tried to draw a straight line using nothing but water? Then paint a straight line next to it? That's challenging when you don't know it can be done. But now you do know because I just told you. Try it.
