Daler-Rowney introduces its first ever Make Your Mark Exhibition, providing artists of all ages with the chance to exhibit prizewinning pieces at The Mall Galleries in London.
We are very happy to announce that one of Sir Peter Blake's paintings will be exhibited at the Make Your Mark exhibition.

As part of Daler-Rowney's Tate Week, we decided to show you some interesting information on how Tate Museum conserve their sculptures, by cleaning them and fixing broken parts. A great read here.
The Royal Academy of Arts is currently displaying the exhibition The Real Van Gogh: The Artist and His Letters, which showcases 35 original letters along with paintings and drawings reflecting the themes of his correspondence. This is the first Van Gogh exhibition in London for over 40 years, which offers a rare insight into the famous artist's mind and work.
Daler-Rowney's Feature Artist Alan Hunt explains how to apply the watercolour technique of overlaying washes, working from light to dark, to acrylic painting, to give the artwork depth from the foreground to the distance. Alan also explains that this technique can be used in reverse as well when applied to acrylics, working from dark to light. The two different techniques are demonstrated by his two paintings; the Swan and the Elephant.
Welcome to my first blog entry! The beginning of a new working relationship with Daler-Rowney, that began what must be ten months ago when one day I was wondering how to update my website.
Just finished sketches for the main character for my new book after a bit email ping pong with my publisher. Next step is to try out the character in colour. Check out my little harvest mouse!
