Mediums

Most people underestimate or are uninformed about the importance of primers, mediums and varnishes in painting; yet if the artist is to make the most of texture, colour and surface glaze, knowledge of painting mediums is essential.

Over the years, Daler-Rowney have worked closely with artists to develop a wide range of mediums in support of their colours systems, and offer a variety of products to cover the varying needs of today's artists. Mediums are essential for some types of painting, e.g. thinners for oil painting, whilst being a creative addition for others, such as texture paste for acrylic painting.
