Watercolor Tips

I want to paint a lighthouse picture that I drew... But I'm not sure how to use watercolors. Is there a specific amount of water you need to put into the paint???

Thank you

How Much Water in Watercolors?

This is a much-belated response to your question. If you are a beginner, start with a pea-size squeeze of watercolor and add a tsp. of water. Mix. Watercolor, this most wonderful medium (!) lets you experiment with many mixes, thick, thin, etc. You can experiment. There is a wonderful website to visit (free) that gives ALL the basics of watercolor for the beginner. How moist the brush, how wet the paper, how to glaze, all kinds of things! http://www.watercolorpaintingandprojects.com/ Good Luck and Happy Painting to You!
