Newbie

Hello ya'll. I'm John Briner, an art enthusiast from Vancouver, Washington. I enjoy artworks regardless of their medium, but I am not a visual artist. However, I compensated my lack of skills for drawing with my ability to write. I am currently penning my first novel, which I hope will be published once I'm through working on it. I'm looking forward to have a good stay here at Daler Rowney community, and I'm hoping to make friendships within the community.

I hope to make friends in the Daler-Rowney community also!

I just signed up with this web site today.....AND I also have a disability. I hope to sell my watercolors on eBay, also (teabreaks - do you have an eBay website or moniker - mine is mlsleise). AND, guess what, John, I live in Renton. Up north a bit, but I once lived in Portland! Hope to hear from you both!

Hi I am new to this forum. I have been painting for most of my life and am now retired and able to enjoy more artistic time. My favourite medium is watercolour and I love my box of Daler Rowney paints. Not only do I love the intensity of the colours but I love the fact that I am able to open the box with ease (I have arthritic hands) . I have another brand of paints and every time I open the box (which is difficult) the paints all fly out on the floor.!!
I sell my paintings on ebay and online. I am trying out new techniques and styles all the time and enjoying reading a pile of new art books that I have.

Hi tea break!

I am also new to this website. I don't know how much is going on here. But anyway, I think we can support each others. I am a professional artist living in Shanghai. I use water medias to paint abstract and figurative paintings. I don't mean to intimidate anyone here with my background, just lloking for some fellow users of FW products. Mostly, I love using their ink for abstract. Does anyone knows what is the binder that they are using for their inks?Oh, if I may, I would like to share something with mlsleisel: arthritis can be healed almost at 100% with Seignalet's diet. I know, it is totally out of topic here. I just thought I would drop this line for you, hope you won't mind. ;-)

FW inks binder

Hi Stefanie,

Thank you for being so active on our forum!

The binder used in our FW Inks formulation is a water-based acrylic resin.

We hope that will help you,

Kind regards,

Thanks Dawler-Roney Team! I truly love your ink. What I like about that product is its sedimentation capacity, the vibrancy of the colors and the unique blend it creates the way I use it. You can take a look, either at my website www.stefanievallee.com (See FireWomen or Water Women) or at my flicker account (SVallee) to see how I use it to paint and have fun (sorry I treid to insert an image here but the button seems to not work?!).Anyway, thanks team.SVallee
