Daler-Rowney PLUS Palette Knives have a special electrolytic coating that is unique in the fine art market. This additional coating results in a product that is more resistant to rust than all other carbon steel palette knives (which until this innovation have been the industry standard).

Due to special low-friction coating colours are easier to spread than with other conventional carbon palette knives. The blade is easier to clean even if the colour has already dried (however, cleaning after use is always recommended). After cleaning, there is no residue left behind (which it often is on carbon steel knives).
