FW Artists' Acrylic Ink
The major development of inks in recent years has been the increasing use of pigments and acrylic resins. The difference between the dye-based inks and the pigmented inks are a slight reduction in colour intensity, but much improved resistance to fading.
FW Artists’ Ink is an acrylic-based, pigmented, water-resistant ink (on most surfaces) in a range of 38 colours, all of which have either a 3 or 4 star rating for permanence. Such a high degree of lightfastness over such a range of fully intermixable colours makes them ideal for use by artists in the production of pictures for permanent display.
Equally, however, colours can be substantially diluted to achieve the most subtle of tones, very similar in character to watercolour. Such washes will dry to a water-resistant film on virtually all surfaces and successive layers of colour can be laid over. FW Artists’ Inks work well through airbrushes and technical pens.

Use on Fabric
Mon, 03/19/2012 - 5:56pm — solanisI use an airbrush to create t-shirts and wonder if these inks are suitable for use on fabric? If they are, do they how long would they require heat treatment for to make them washproof?
RE: Use on Fabric
Wed, 03/21/2012 - 1:26pm — Daler-RowneyHi,
We do not recommend our FW ink colours for use on fabric as unfortunately they are not made with the right resin for fabric and they are not washproof.
Thank for your request.
We hope you good luck in your t-shirts creation.
Kind regards,
Daler-Rowney

Art Rubberstamping
Sat, 10/22/2011 - 2:21am — TheAfricanQueenI love knowing that there are art supplies that I can use in art rubberstamping such as this wonderful acrylic artists ink.
Originally I bought a bottle to use with handmade quill pens. But then I started exploring using it on metal tape. Just recently, I was informed that it will also work in the same manner as alcohol inks and that is very exciting for me to know.
The eye dropper is perfect for such applications as I will use it in. I'm off to play with it and some shaving cream!
Thank you for making such a great product!
Inks
Fri, 09/16/2011 - 10:52pm — Arturo J RamirezI am a gourd artist from Albuquerque New Mexico and have used the inks for numerous years. I have seen my work in collections from years ago and they still look like the day they were completed. Excellent product!
