Hand painting removable screen block?

I'd like to do some reduction screen prints, with the screen gradually being blocked manually between printing colour prints. Can removable screen blocker be painted onto the screen by brush? Can it be thinned to make it easier to paint with If so, can the inks be cleaned out of the screen after printing each colour without the blocker being dissolved by cleaning water?

(I realise that I can use drawing fluid and blocker together to create each screen/colour one by one, but I prefer to gradually build up the stencil during the printing of a design, and this also reduces the number of times that the screen must be completely stripped of blocker.)

Thanks.
